Turn the keyboard on
- Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Motion Keyboard.
- Tap Motion Keyboard and, if you like, turn on “Allow Full Access”. It adds haptics and a dictionary shared with the app. The keyboard works without it too.
- In any text field, press and hold the globe below the keyboard and choose Motion Keyboard.

Common questions
The keyboard changed a word I wanted to keep. Swipe up: you get back exactly what you typed. If the word is not in the dictionary, swipe up once more to add it, and the keyboard stops correcting it.
Why do I see the standard keyboard in password fields? iOS always shows its own system keyboard in password and passcode fields. Every third-party keyboard works this way.
How do I turn off the double-space period? Open the Motion Keyboard app and switch off “Period after double space”. A second swipe right still adds a period.
Does the keyboard send what I type? No. The keyboard never connects to the internet. See the privacy policy.
How do I erase what the keyboard learned? Delete the Motion Keyboard app. The words and settings saved on your iPhone go with it.
